    Hi guys
Wondering if anyone here uses land stars load board and if so does it work out? Also anyone leased onto them may have some good info. Just wondering overall what kind of company they are and if there good about paying ontime? I do not want to lease onto them but was thinking about signing up to use there load board and I am mostly concerned about getting payed. They say they have a 2day pay is this true?

    Thanks guys

GOOD MOURNING : yep i use there load board all the time and true you get payed in two days somtimes less.

at one time i was leasesd to them but that was 10 years ago, now i've heard some bad about them but in my expeirence they were great , plenty of freight no matter where your at, they give liberal advances and the money is good , they don't owe me a dime never had a roblem with money or freight . now saomtimes i got agravated with them because when they find out your empty they will drive you nuts calling you wanting to no if your readyt to load they have a load for you but thats not a bad thing.

i use them quite a bit and never had a problem. besat of luck. soluthernpride :biggrin_25514:

Don't lease with any carrier, get your own authority and go haul as a contract carrier. There are many carriers like landstar and a few more out there that pay you the same day they recieve the shipping papers, by direct deposit, comcheck etc. be a smart businessman.

Everyone has an opinion about leasing on vs your own authority. I'm leased to L/S and I can tell you for a FACT that with the same equ. I will make more NET money than you will using your authority and L/S broker board. How you ask? Because the broker board is leftovers L/S O/O won't haul.

    Well thanks guys
I know that alot of there loads never get posted but thats understanable. What kind of company would they be if they didnt give there drivers first crack at loads. However I do want to stay completely independent like I am now. I realize I may make more per mile leased to a company but I can stay busier and have less deadheading on my own. I know this for sure since I have been there.

Question for Southern Pride on landstar? I didnt know they gave advances on there loads to contractors. I am waiting for my easy pay card to get here and should take my first load this coming week. A little advance would be nice. Also what are the other good big guys out there that have good load boards?

    Thanks alot
    Happy trucking

good mourning my friend: now i can't speak for all BUT if i take a load don't care who it's for i get at least a 40% ADVANCE and if im not sure about them i get more, why would you give some one credit that you don't even no , you think he would give you credit? i doubt it , thats a bad thing to start not taking an advance it will only lead to problems , if a broker is to #### cheap to give an advance it means he is usally to cheap to pay you the rest of your money , NOT A GOOD THING and they all no you need money to run on and to make emergency repairs trucks do break down on occasion./
get as much of your money as you can up front ALWAYS now if ytou try to get more then 40% they cry a lot but if they no you they will even do that

good luck my friend and happyt trailes. southernpride :biggrin_25514:

Thanks Southern Pride your full of good info. I didnt realize I should be asking or making sure I get a advance. When they do give advances I just take what they say and run with it. I always take a advance when possible as I feel its good to have the extra money in my pocket not theres and then if they take forever to pay atleast I got something.
Not sure if you would want to say it out loud but if you do what are some other good brokers to look at? I am willing to run all 48 and currently do. I am really looking to reduce deadheading and stay loaded. I am not a big fan of sitting for a few days waiting to get reloaded which is what I seem to do alot of now.

    Thanks
