You read my mind. lol
I don't have any misguided fantasies about trucking, like I said I've researched it quite abit, but I found that Donner's Pass thread this morning too. I was like that's whats it's all about. Truck drivers see things that most people in this country will never see. That's pretty cool.
But then probably most professional drivers looking at those pictures were thinking, I wonder if he had chains on, What gear was he in going down that grade, what was the gross weight. All I was thinking, I wonder how many squirrels live in that forest.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
If you decide to leave orientation ....

Thats exactly what I thought...
LOL, I was thinking, probably wouldn't even touch the brakes if a deer hops out.. -
Would it look better if they gave a 2 week notice in orientation?
Hmm?? -
What the heck is DAC ?

Allow Me
This thread is almost 3 years old. I just made a statement in order to bump it up where folks could see it. Its good info for the newbees.
Besides, if you live in Kingman, BY CHOICE, I'm not so sure I can trust you !! And yes my DAC looks very good, thank you.
Kiddin about kingman, its kinda neat out there.... -
Dude, Kingman is A-OK. 2 hours from Vegas, 30 minutes from Laughlin/Colorado River, 4 hours from Phoenix, 5 from L.A. , plus we have 5 truckstops and are directly along I-40. In fact, at night when the window is open, I can hear all the midnight cowboys burning up the asphalt, and I live a good mile from the interstate. Nothing is as sweet as hearing a Detroit diesel idle and them 18 wheels humming down the interstate. Well, OK,almost nothing. I must say that far off train horn blowing throughout the night every hour or so(Kingman is a railroad town as well) is a tad sweeter. I'm living the "good life". You know I'm right......

There are alot of companies that if you dont play by there rules, they screw with the DAC as well. This is very wrong as DAC/USIS takes the word of the company, hardly ever the word of the driver. and that DACFIX.com is a joke, they want your money to fix the same problem you can do youself. 150.00 a joke, a head guy in DOT in washington DC told me that as many driver use them its hard to put them out of business. if you have a legit reason to contact DAC/USIS , return the rebuttal form they send you, fill it out (DO NOT EXPLAIN IN DETAIL JUST FILL IT OUT) return it to them, in turn the former company has so many days to reply to your rebuttal with their proof, if they fail to do so ,DAC /USIS has to by federal LAW, remove the report from your record. and you will see it in writing as they resend you a copy of your DAC/USIS reprort, so when another company requests it ,they see what you see. BELIEVE ME, I went through this process with SWIFT after 6 months driving for them as a Domestic team/mentor, I have been a driver for 10 years not a single incident, accidents, tickets, nothing.....6 months with SWIFT cause i would not allow my lady ( a newbie) to drive in winter conditions in wyoming they placed on my DAC a DOT drug refusal, i was there, they refused me to take it. wanted me off their property, left me and the lady stranded in phoenix AZ, we live in Albany,NY a week to get home on a bus,,,,we begged them to pay for . had to leave over half our stuff there. but anyways DAC/USIS will work for you if you do it correctly.....and your side of the story holds water.. thank you for reading...................happy trails down the highway

95% of all carriers report to DAC and it is totally legal for them to report an orientation on your DAC report if you were there even 30 seconds. Most carriers do report orientations. Our company assists drivers with removing these. If you were never issued equipment and you never pulled a load, it can be removed.

Imagine a world where you are compelled to drive for one company all your life and if you refuse to do it, the DAC report will delegate you to a life that you are never permitted to work yourself out of poverty.
You would think the DAC report is a high tech version of the debtors prisons they had in Great Brittan. Between the lease to own and the DAC report and the new inspection and idling rules you would think the industry is trying to reinvent slavery.
