1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

thanks ya'll I truly believe in God and his son Jesus. He says help ALL who need it. To give ALL you have if need be. MOST of all DO NOT chase the ALL MIGHTY dollars just as it appears you may do. One day you may be in need of help and NO ONE WILL HELP YOU BECAUSE OF HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT HELPING ME.

Truckers will look at it this way. It sounds like you did not finish school? If you had to leave school with that not being a very long time how long will it be before you have to leave the road? The other problem is CHEAP LABOR. We already have enough of that out here now. That is one of the reasons why there is a problem with money in trucking. Too many will work for nothing. It is hard to move the pay scale up when you have people who will pull freight for pennies.

You don't get it. I know you don't have a truck. One of the biggest problems in trucking now is people who will cut in line and work for less. The industry standard for a long time has been go to school. Go with a trainer. Work your way up. Do you think it is fair for the other newbies to have some one skip a step and cut their pay even lower? That is the problem. You want to work cheap go find a farmer or rancher and tell them you will dig ditches cheap.

Trucking used to be a decent paying gig. Until all these I will work for cheap flushed it down the toilet. Bad enough we got mexican truckers and rug heads pulling containers for little to nothing. How about going to mickey D's and telling them you will work for less than anyone else. Bring that low paying job down even more. Truckers don't like people cutting in front of them. Go to a shipper or cons and try cutting in line.

I am just sick of seeing all these I will work cheap truck drivers. Way to go. Stab the fellow trucker in the back. Take food off his table. This crap is getting old. Go find some other industry to wash out wages. Trucking is low pay enough as it is. We don't need anymore cut throat wage workers out here.

You come in here and make a post about driving for a year cheap just to get hired. Not a grad, no CDL just a permit. That doesn't set well with truckers. I told you why. No one likes to see wage slashing. The pay is already messed up enough as it is. We have people posting all the time will drive cheap if hired.

Then you go back and completely change your first post. Not edit it, but change the post after I replied. What the heck is up with that? Now people read it and can't follow along because they have no idea what you said. What is this a do over? You can't just add to the conversation? Then you complain no one will help you. Just because you are a believer does not mean your life is easy and you get special treatment.

The reason people get ticked off when someone posts that will drive cheap crap is because this is cut throat enough out here without someone who thinks it is OK to bypass people who went to school and started with a training co and worked their way up. You act like I am out of line you are the one being rude and contributing to the problem. If you get to pick loads as an O/O or work for a co that you choose the loads now you can agree to a load then have to take a cut on it because someone under bid it after you already accepted the load.

You want to work cheap go work at mickey d's. I am sick of people coming into trucking as a have to can't find anything else. That is why everything is so jacked up. People like you have made this a work cheap job. If you are to good to start out like others go find something else to do.

I will be driveing a truck SOON and it will be cheap until I learn more about it. Then I will make what is fair and NO more. It is living NOT a place to get rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I have ever asked is to pay me what I'm worth unlike you who thinks he is worth a hell of a lot more than he's worth. I DO NOT MIND STARTING AT THE BOTTOM AS LONG AS I CAN WORK MY WAY UP. One thing I am sure of it is all comming back to you... THAT AIN'T WHAT I HEARD IT'S WHAT I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well mr know nothing. When you figure out what is fair let me know. After you pay the living cost to survive. Then factor in all the other costs maybe you will understand the difference between making good money and paying the bills if you don't go belly up first. There are a lot of cut throats out here, between brokers and drivers undercutting load prices. Then of course there are always the hey hire me cheap I will help drive wages down even more. Flush after you get your foot in the door. Smells bad enough now.
