Actually by telling you the reason they open themselves up to all kinds of different issues that someone could bring against them , from any sort of angle. This is why most carriers will never tell you the actual reason behind not being hired. People are very sue happy and it works in their favor to remain tight lipped and use the flat try again later as an answer. A Lawyer will have no grounds to demand exact reason for denial. They don't have to say anything but yes or no , it is their company after all. Once a reason is given they are then open game.

Which Landstar should know is double brokering which is against the law.[/QUOTE]rbht said: ↑Hauling off the LS broker board you are getting 80% or less of the amount billed the customer and some is from other brokers (cut twice)Click to expand...
Against the law? I'm not sure that's correct.... it sure happens everyday in every freight broker/logistics operation in the country.
I'm not saying it's the right thing to do for the O/O's but it's a fact nonetheless. -

That sure hasn't slowed them down in the least bit. -
I just signed a new lease toady...I was surprised that I also got a note that said they would share with me everything they found on my DAC and background reports...

This is all flatbed 95% lumber loads..rbht said: ↑I love how guys that have never been leased on to Landstar think they know about what goes on here. I too ran my own authority for several years, and like Brickman I leased to Landstar and net more money for less work. Freight rates are not the only reason I make more money at Landstar. My insurance costs dropped dramatically, I get a substantial savings on fuel, my tires cost less and practically every shop around gives me a discount for being leased to Landstar. I even save money on my cell phone bill. So, when you say you will come out on top, that my be true but I'm pretty sure you work WAY harder than I do for not a whole lot more money.Click to expand...Click to expand...
