1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Which application method is used the most?

Give them a call. You've nothing to lose, plus it shows them you ARE interested, and ask questions. If they seem put off, just think how it may be 6 month's down the line. You should interview them, as much as they interview you.:biggrin_25525:

I send an online app and wait for a call.
Just this week I am checking out 2 different companies.
Sent both Apps last weekend one after the other on a Sunday.
1 Company called first thing in the morning the next day. The Other one called today.
The first one has been dragging his feet even though being the first to call. I am already tired of trying to catch him in the office. He seems to be out of the office quite a bit, nice gig I guess.
The other said he will get to work and call me by tomorrow afternoon.
I like them both equally or would not have sent apps.
So now I put it on them. Whomever calls back first now gets my services.

So even though one was Johnny on the spot with a quick call back and the other waited 4 days. They are now neck and neck again due to one recruiter being a lazy butt.
Since I am not in a hurry I find it interesting to see how it works out.

Oh the first one advertises in our Paper non stop for months a nice big ad with a picture and the whole nine yards , gotta be expensive but they are in a poor area of the country. The sercond one has never advertised around here and most people I tell the name to have never heard of them.

So now I get my popcorn back and watch the show. Who will win in the end.
