Forget CRST! I lost money there the management will always side with dispatch. I have 24 yers in and if you are thinking of solo work then an expidited company is not the place to go. If they need to get a load to the west coast fast then why would they give it to a solo driver. Foer a new driver FFE is the way to go. yes there is good and bad but that is trucking in a nut shell.

Oh BTW drop usa, if your new to trucking take some time with a company to learn how to shift well. It will serve you well in your career. going automatic this soon will make it tuff for you down the road. I know its getting popular but for the next 10 yrs or so this will be a real truckers world still and in that world you will be expected to know how to #### gears in a truck!

BTW if you want to impress your tester tomorrow, when he gets in the truck look over and ask him to please buckle up. It will show that your about safety and they eat that **** up!

lol. i passed my test surprisingly even though i was nervous as ####. she was pretty cool and laid back. shifting is a major issue. supringly im one of the few people from my class that passed on the first try. and i was the one that was scared to sit in the truck but anyway back to shifting

i don't really like it. i think it's something i could perfect over time. but the first day we was in a werner 9 speed praticing over the road and i don't beleive i shifted any gear correctly. the rest of the week we were in 10 speeds and i was becoming better. but honestly the thought of me alone in a big ### truck having to shift gears... sounds rough. but im sure that's what the week of training are all about..

i plan on going to whichever company with dedication and a good attitude. sticking around for a year or so. i just recently inquired about wse. solely because that 14 hr bus ride to texas doesn't sound found. nor does traveling all 48 states/.

im definitely looking forward to traveling considering i've only seen 3 states of the us.. and that's georgia (home state) tennesee and hilton head south carolina. i know i need to see this country. i plan too. but right now i'm interested in south east regional. not for the hometime becasue i don't have any major commitments there. just for safety purposes i guess. until i get the hang of thems.

What is the Orientation like at FFE?

How long would I have to be with a Trainer at FFE?

What kinds of Trucks do the have?

Is this a Good Company to work for?

Don't I know it. I wish now that I had never taken that #### CDL course. I thought I could wing it and find something local, or at least from my hometown, (Michigan) to Ohio or Indiana and back and be home... Well, needless to say, that did not happen. :biggrin_25513:

So, now, I sit here, with no job and a CDL that I cannot even use. :biggrin_25516:

Thank the Lord in Heaven, that the course did not cost me a dime; because I have ADHD and got free training from the State. Otherwise, I would have been ticked off.

Take my advice, get your year in, and get the experience.
