Hello,
Professional Drivers, NO this is not your shower call at the Pilot!
UPDATE!!
Im still running with England. I cannot believe I am nearing the 1 year mark and have 80,000 miles under my wing. I am a (Solo) Lease Operator & do not choose to train. I have read the posts on here about training "Phase -1" etc. Training is not a "Guarantee"! money maker! & it is not easy. If it was everybody would be doing it. I prefer SOLO.

I wonder why every time I read smallhauls posts I always here some guy with a crazy foreign accent in my head....is it just me?
-
Well Cowboy is still here I have been posting other places here on the forums but I will say this all of you have been very helpful to a newbie I didn't take the job with C&A express I work for a small company called Pinewood here in Columbus Ohio and they have taken me under there wing and gave my the extra that was needed in training . I have my first solo run out of state today going to Houston Texas I have put on around 9,500 miles with a co driver with me doing all but maybe 200 miles of all the driving so he says I am ready so I am off to Texas ! I thank all of you for your advice and help here I will try to post once a week . Thank you all so much !!!
AfterShock Thanks this. -

Good luck cowboy....with the right attitude I know you will do just fine

!!!!! Amazing, are you saying you earned 80k, spent 60k in earning the 20k
you had left at the end of the year?
Or are you wanting an ex C.R. England O/O and trainer believe, hand over heart, staring at the flag of the USA, that you drove that many miles solo? You kept the truck rolling 22 hrs a day?
It's the only way it would work out. I want to buy whatever it is you buy
which keeps you driving 22 hrs without ending in a hospital.
Oh, how many sets of books do you use?
20K is a small salary these days for working an 80 hr week.
Maybe this guy is from Romania?
Or a recruiter? Someone find him....verify this b.s.

hahahaha - I just figure it's some recuiter desperate to meet his/her
quota. I met a recuiter at a MATS show in Kentucky. Her first job had
been to answer the phone, bored with that, she asked to be transfered
and made a recruiter. Some background hmm? I was so IMPRESSED!

Whoa, whoa....you are nearing the one year mark and have (gasp!) 80,000 miles? I hope you're no closer to the year mark than about 4 months. Any closer than that and....well, never mind.
-
The most credible post you've made all year ...AfterShock Thanks this.

You, sir, are more than welcome.
Thank you for sharing your adventures with us.
I reckon C.R. England deserves some of the credit though. If not for what CRE is, you probably wouldn't have found Pinewood.
Look at it this way, you're one of a very few who have gone to CRE, survived the experience, and actually reached your goal, --- albeit with a company other then C.R. England.
That's great news Cowboy.
Nothin' we like to read more than a success story
Especially one with a scary beginnin'.
Best of success to you.
Tucker the trucker Thanks this.
