What does that offer over Quicken Small Business?

I used that with great success when I was running my small business a few years back. Few things that I had to spend some time figuring out how to make it work, but the simplicity of it all more than made up for it. Well worth the $149 that I paid for it.

However, I do expect that it will be lacking for a trucking business since it knows nothing of IFTA and there seems to be no way to relate expenses to mileage other than to just track miles driven.

Drivers daily log is a good program. The full version has a number of features that you may find useful.

I run this version, keeps track of just about everything I need.

I will say this, the documentation is a bit wanting and it does take some time to learn and get used to.

It does have a demo you can download. http://www.driversdailylog.com/

For me, it has been worth the money.

I use Quickbooks. It is very customizable and at the end of the year it's easy to give your accountant a copy of everything you need for taxes.

Yeah, you really need to spend the money and get the Pro version. It does a lot more.

Try Truckin Pro 7 by Fogline Software. I find it quite handy due to its all-in-one functions. You can track an unlimited number of trucks, P&L reports, fuel expense tracking, maintainance reports, truck stop directory, document scanning and it also features a customer and agent/broker database. Designed and developed by an O/O. Price is fair IMO
