Most companies do. Some exceptions are certain shippers/consignees don't allow shorts/flip flops on their property, so you need to be ready to change inbetween the guard shack and the office (while idling the truck over to the dock door).

To "Allow me", no flip-flops for me, I'm a "New Balance" tennis shoe man myself or a pair of low quarter hiking boots. LOL! But I do like to wear a pair of carpenter shorts if the temperature is above 65 degrees.

Just remember that in all reality trucking is under OSHA rules! Just have those jeans ready when you pull up to a shipper or receiver as some will tell you the proper dress code and I've seen a few with the code on the door or at the gate!
