2 Killed, Dozens Hurt in Mo. School Bus Crash

It appears that the bobtail tractor was at a stop. There is a silver car behind the truck. The first bus mushed the car into the rear of the tractor and proceeded to climb onto the sleeper of the Volvo. The second bus had a SUV infront of it and drove over the SUV.

 

Sad story. Thoughts and prayer go out to the people involved and their families

Man what a shame and what makes it wore is that it could've been completely avoided.

I've driven that stretch alot over the years and everyone seems to think it's qualifying at Daytona or something. When I drove for Celadon a "school" bus was riding my bumper then passing me then slowing down so that I had to pass him then repeated the action several times. I got the number of the bus and called it in but was never able to find out if anything was done to the driver for being reckless.

Tragic accident however on a side note, whats up with school bus'es in general today? Thet travel way to fast with OTHER POEPLES kids on board especially in the rain. Folks, you are taking Precious cargo to school and soccer games, not a Thrill ride! Our terminal is 1/2 mile from a school bus garage. I am very happy when scholl is out and most of their buses are off the road. If i had kids,they would walk or be driven to school before i put them on a Yellow death trap!
