Hi - wannabe looking for a good company that also offers CDL training.
Located in NC - 100 miles from Highpoint, NC.
Have several years as a Class 'C' driver, but no Class 'A'.
I have enjoyed the Watkins & Shepard threads and seems a great company.
Their website doesn't offer much detail and hoped some of you might offer some info.
30 day CDL training:
Website says $250 down with low-cost financing.
Reading posts here seems to indicate this may not still be available.
Is this still available?
What is 'low-cost financing' terms? Contract?
Total cost? Repayment terms?
How often are courses?
Location?
Take trucks home?
Any other info I should know?
Seems like a good community @ W&S and look forward to any replies.
Thanks!

Honestly for the most up to date info on what your asking contact Roxy or Sandy in Recruiting, they will tell you whats up with the classes and what they currently have.

I would agree with D1, Give a call to Recruiting and ask them. The company has gone through several positive changes so not sure what the latest is. All I can say in the training is great. Good Luck.

Ok - thanks.

Just talked to Roxy and she told me that they are no longer doing their CDL school.

Wulfman, check with your local community college and see what courses you can take there, The feds have several programs that you may qualify for. Check it out, I went to my community college got my CDl and I owe $0.00 Take Care. Be Safe. TD

Captnhook - check out Johnston CC in NC http://www.johnstoncc.edu/nctruckdrivertraining.aspx
NC residents pay 827.00
You would then do 10 day training in Hickory which is where you would park your truck for hometime -
I went to their website and could not find a contact info for truckers. Can you provide me with some assistance please? Also does anyone know if Georgia is the closest terminal to Florida? It sounds like a good company and dear hubby is very interested.Last edited: Aug 12, 2010

1-800-548-8895 ext, 452
That's their number and Roxie's extension.
Might take you a couple of times to get through to her though. They get a lot calls and if you just leave a voicemail you probably won't get called back. Just keep trying.

Thanks! I spoke to Roxi and she emailed me a packet already. My hubby will have 6 months of OTR experience in October so we will wait until October instead of having him start all over.wulfman75 Thanks this.
