1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Thanks guys I take all your advice with a positive attitude. One of my instructors told me to go to con-way right here where I live. He said they hired 2 students from his last class for local because its non union, so that was good news. I also have a lead on a dedicated run for Schneider out of Chicago within a 5 state area, recruiter told me 5 days a week out with 2 days off with a guaranteed salary of 825.00 a week regardless of miles driven. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Could be true. Consider yourself lucky to get a local job like that right out of school! I see guaranteed salary but not guarantee two days off. Either way it sounds pretty good! Did they say two days off at home? Sometimes that could mean a day off in a hotel while you are waiting on a return trip. Anyway like I said it still sounds like a good offer.
