    you mean the 'johnson rod' or trailer hand brake on the steering wheel?
    I did check that already - it's quiet and doesnt appear to be leaking air....but...

    That's the one. Try to listen and see where the exhaust port is. It's probably not leaking at the valve or fittings. They leak by on the inside, and the air escapes through the exhaust port line, which could end up anywhere. Just a guess, but I have had this happen.

    I think it has 3 hoses...not sure though. One more thing to check for sure..

    Wait...there is 1 possible flaw with this idea. That handle appears to always have AIR at it, regardless of where the yellow tractor valve handle is.

    My leak is ONLY when the yellow valve is PUSHED in..

    Friend with 1999 Volvo had air leak similar to yours, sometimes leaking through Tractor park brake valve, sometimes not. Replaced all four maxi chambers, and foot valve before he discovered it was a $15 relay valve that was mounted on the front drive axle. Diaphragm had hole in it, back feeding to park brake valve in cab.

    Front !?...hmm. thats odd. I know I have a relay valve on the rig, but no idea where it is. If i replace everything else and still have this, then thats the next to check. I know its not my maxi chambers. I pinched them off as a test.

    WHS... Good call droy. A friend took his truck apart this winter and painted frame etc. When reassembling, he replaced all the brake valves. He said it never held air as good...:biggrin_25514:

    A Quick Release valve is used for parking brake control and a Relay Valve for service brake control. The Quick Release valve is dirt cheap.
