Hi,
There's a word I'm trying to remember, the definition would be a large group of semi trucks following eachother closely / side-by-side on the highway. Anyone know the word I'm trying to think of?
TYIA

Well, they use to be convoys, but those are illegal so they are now called parades!
LaBubba and luvmyhubby Thank this. -
That's it, thanks!

that's probably the most dangerous time is when you see more than 2 trucks driving for the same company, following each other. check out there following distance. scary.

are convoys really illegal? i know stupid question probly but i was unaware if this is true
-
If they are side by side they are impeding traffic which is illegal.TRKRSHONEY Thanks this. -
Convoys were made illegal back in my dad's day (70's if memory serves me correctly, but don't quote me on that). He took part in a few of them himself before they were illegal. If you google it, there are a whole list of sources of info on it. I'll let you pick which one to read.
