Last week I drove (a car) from Cincinnati to San Diego and then back again...There must have been a gazillion trucks going in both directions mostly on 40...(this is the amazing part)...Each and every truck, on each and every mile, was PERFECT!....They drove perfect, they ALL used turn signals, they successfully dodged cars pulling in front of them, they were the epitomy of Miss Manners!....
Amazing...You should all be so proud of yourselves!...All gazillion of you!

Thank you. The truck drivers are the professionals. Granted, there are some that should not be truck drivers, but the majority of them are professionals!

Any truck driver worth his salt knows that he must be cool and calm and deal with any ill-mannered cars/trucks at all times. Just part of the job.

I am very glad that you noticed that.
The problem is that most drivers on the road do not.
They can pass 1000 trucks and never think a thing. But they see one bad driver and that is all they remember.
Thank you for noticing and for posting it here.

Amen, couldn't have said it better.

To the OP. Thanks for joining just to thank our guys/gals out there that move goods across the country. Its not very often that they get to hear the general public's appreciation for the job that they do. :biggrin_25514:

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat? Someone came here to compliment drivers, instead of complain. Thank you. Even though I do not drive OTR I will accept some credit.:biggrin_25522:

Thanks KYAG you'll find it's only us bleeding foreigners that haven't gotten used to driving on the wrong side of the road yet that'll cause all the problems.

I have two little questions that may sound stupid, but...
When someone says that they don't drive "OTR", what do they mean?...Aren't you all OTR?...Isn't it On or Over the Road?
And, why would someone say they were high risk, even if it were true?...
    Once again, thank you...
