    hello all new to here i bought a galaxy dx 48t not to sure how to set this radio up like the channels am or fm and what letter should i be on any help would be nice thanks tony

    Did you buy the radio brand new or used?? Chances are if you bought it used it's already been converted to 11 meters/CB. The CB band on that radio will be E on the band selector. I advise you against going on any band other than that one, there are some HAM ops out there who may turn you in if they hear you chatting where you shouldn't be.

    YES/NO 99.999% of hams only get involved if you go above 28.000 mhz under that it's not our problem. Also there is no legal use for FM on CB and the FM band for ham use is at 29.600mhz and I don't think that radio even goes there.

    Remember 28.000 - 29.700 is not a freeband you must have a license.

    It won't go to 29.600, but it will go far above 28.000, better to be safe than pay fines...

    ok tri axle trucker e it will be am or fm bought it new about a year ago put it in had to much trouble with getting settings right put my ltd29 back in but now im trying it again and after find this sight i think could get it going putting in my 2005 mack granite tri axle. thanks for the help

    Keep it on AM there is NO LEAGAL use for FM in the USA or Canada.

    Ok, if you bought it new and it hasn't been converted to cb (11 Meter), that will have to be done first. CBtricks.com has the conversion info. You'll want to leave it on AM and E band. Thats the 40 cb channels.

    ok here is my report cb works swr are to high need to get that figured out im thinking new coax n ant the problem is i need a firberglass ant tear the wilsons off i do a lot of house deliverys with trees so im thinking firestick with adujuster on it or any other sugg second problem when i key up to talk get a bad squeel in my trucks stereo speakers have turn my music off to talk anybody got any suggest on that thanks tony
