O/O What did your first truck cost you?

I paid 7k it had an overhall with 300k on it

 

52000 + 22,000 for a trailer
Truck had 485,000 on it, I put it to work right away.

And I'll do it all over again if I somehow lose my mind and re-marry her!

 

$6500 (in 1974) It was a ten year old Freightliner with 900,000 miles and it was pretty well worn out but I made money and bought a couple more within a year and a half.

I bought the truck, I had NO money left over for anything...I made my own headache rack and borrowed tie down equipment from friends and went to work.

 

So your sayin it was worth it?

First truck was a 88 freightliner flc glider, paid $22,000 for it and $2500.00 for a flat had no reserve saved up just started trucking and makeing money and did pretty good my first year.

 

This is the lesson I learned from my mother after what she put my father and the rest of our family through.

 

My dad bought a 01 freighliner $18,000. 50,000 miles on it. lease to own, $800/month. Leased it from a friend instead a dealership bcuz he had to file bankrupsty and couldnt get credit.
