I have a 99 Volvo with a 300 Cummins in it. It is lacking in the testicular fortitude department. Yeah I know that it is small engine and I wont be pulling too many hills at top speed but is there any way to wake this thing up? I would like to get a little more power out of it as it can get very frusterating pulling 40K up a hill at 35 MPH. Thanks.

its it a M11 or something that small?
-
This is going to sound really dumb but how could I tell? The boss just told me it was a 300. Thats all I know about it. It is the tan colored block I know that from pre-trips. But as far as M11 or anything else I have no idea. Going back out tomorrow so it will be a few days till I post again. Thanks.

Wow if its tan its old. It should be either black or red it its a 99. I didnt think they were still making the BC series still in 99. Look for an engine plate on the block and it will tell you.

OK I moust have had this truck confused with another. I have a black block and the only numbers I found on it that were an "M" number was M3. Hope I got this right cause the truck is at the yard and Im at home.

The verdict is in. Its a N14 350HP Cummins. Now that we have that squared away, is there any way to wake this thing up?

It can be uprated to 460 hp if the cpl numbers are right ...It will have to be connected to a computer to do this too like at a volvo dealer
