Sure.. Get what you're saying but as always I'll stand by what I said and would never call you something that gets blanked out..

I don't like Southern people and I guess you don't like me..

I remember running OTR down South the few times I had no choice and they were still fighting the war - no joke.. I had no real opinion at that point but after the Yankee crap I did real quick..

I just run my run but you Southern folks are something else.. It is fitting though that the company I work for pays substantially more up here than they do down there even though I run into an old CSE terminal..

Well the word I used begins with a B, ends with a T and describes Archie Bunker if you are old enough to remember that TV show. Websters defines it as such:

I have never met you. I don't particularly care for your internet persona but that has little to do with reality. I think you are a typical of 29 year old kid. You have plenty to learn but don't know it yet. In about 10 years you will realize it.

Haha.. I'm a Yankee and that's all there is to it.. Brooklyn, NY born and raised till I was 12 and my family moved to Erie, Pa of all places. I can only imagine how bad those Southern boys fold up your way..haha.. My first driving job was up there in Northern WI and the UP pulling a Roll-Tite..

I can remember running across Maine and Canada 17 from Montreal over to Sault St Marie..haha.. I must have done that a dozen times with all 12 times being in the dead of winter. I thought I had seen lake effect snow till I drove through North Bay, ON, Canada in January.. Fine memories though and that's no joke..

Ca 17 had nothing on I80 across the Keystone though.. It all is what it is though..

Yepper, I 80 can be a bear at times. Trans Canada can be bad as well, in some places a lot more frequent than I 80.
I've heard some other drivers tell us we're nuts, but it's just part of the game. Slow down, look wwaaayyyy ahead, and no sudden moves. Ya tend to get used to it!:biggrin_25525:

I have fine memories of 17.. used to come out of Maine and run up through VT and through Montreal. I'd run 17 through Ottawa across to Sault St Marie..

I now run from Harrisburg, Pa down to Richmond, Va which shouldn't have much in the way of winter but I'll never forget those days up there.. Even US 2 up in the UP kinda has a special place for me. I remember we had a terminal on Jackson St in Iron Mountain, MI.. Those were great times for me..

if it is real snotty out i would take 11 instead of 17 in the winter--especially if heavy--little bit longer and possibely worse roads --but less icy---if you are only going to soo--doesnt help much there

I-80 in PA is in my opinion the most dangerous stretch of interstate in the US.
I recently bid off of I-80 because every other day there was a truck rolled over in the ditch...and this is in the summertime.
I'm on I-76 now and it's alot better.
80 sucks because you get alot of dump trucks, trash haulers, can haulers, etc going to NJ and NY.
Also alot of rate-cutter outfits who will bypass the toll road on 76.
The majority of these drivers are paid peanuts and drive like NASCAR.
Their equipment is junk, as well as poorly loaded and overweight in most cases.
Which is why there's about 2 chicken coops just from the OH line up to Bloomsburg, PA...plus they open rest areas at times.
Throw in all the curves, the construction, Clearfield and Snowshow in the winter, the mostly 2-lane road that has barely been upgraded since the 1950's...and you have a recipe for alot of disasters.
