1. Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Good post, should be followed in any industry. Myself being formerly in Construction I always had expensive equipment issued to me and I always treated it as if I paid for it, even my company truck.

cpape, i think right now im being put to the test by my dispatcher. I was under a load the other day[thursday], and i had 2hrs driving time left. I stopped at that time, and to a shower and got cleaned up, fueled, and took my 10 hr break because there were no places closer to were i was to unload to stop and do it. He was upset the next day that i didnt keep going. So , i unload the next morning, and he sends me to my next load, which is supposed to run me thru the house, which it did, but it wasnt ready when i got there, and by the time it was loaded, i didnt have enough time to get home before my next 10 hr break. He says to me, well, if you would have just finished your run last night, instead of showering and getting something to eat, you might have had the time, not.lol. I told them when i started ,i was a truck driver, not a truck loader or unloader, so guess what this load is, a driver assist thats loaded on the floor.lol cobratori@aol.com

Cpape, I have a few questions. How wide, high or heavy does your company actually go? I have been doing oversize for just over two years and sometimes I think I would like to downsize just a bit. Tallest I have pulled is 17', widest 22'(from Wi. to California) longest was 139' from headlights to taillights, heaviest was 132,000 gross. Next question. What part of Wisconsin do you hire from? I assume it is the southeastern portion closest to your headquarters. I am not actively looking for a new job but it sure doesnt hurt to look into other potential opportunities.

Jumbo--the majority of our over size loads are 10W and under 14H. We do routinely go up to 12W, but not much bigger. We only use escorts a couple times a year. For a driver with your experience we might be able to make Wausau work. We do send a fair amount of loads from IA up to WI. Company driver or Ind Cont?

I'm very interested I as to go out for 28 29 days the say 3 days back home with my son. That's all I ask for. I currently sit with permit so until I can come up with some experience and $ to rent a truck to take wheel test I'll need to run team. Don't need health I'm covered. Just a willing company to take me in and teach me. I'm in MN if interested email # ekimpa@gmail.com

Cpape, I am a company driver. Like I said, I am not actively seeking another job at this point. I like my present job and dont think I could leave here till I am ready. I left a four truck outfit to come to a 50 truck company, I just perfer smaller companies.

tut--I went to school at Creighton in Omaha. When I was in school, I worked for Hill Brothers. They seemed like a good company to work for at that time...1999. You might look them up.
