Thanks Harrison. This place is nothing like where I've ever been before. I'm not sure it's really sunk in yet. There are a couple things to work through, but at least the offers are there.

Maybe your TE was driving, if that's what you're leaning toward. My DBL called me Tuesday while I was in my POV coming down to Monroe. I do NOT yap on a cellphone while driving anything. I apologized and explained to him I was driving. He started joking about the safety first thing, but was serious as well, if ya follow that.

I'm heading back out in the AM, so not sure when I'll be back on here. So you have a great holiday. And man, quit worrying, it's going to work for you.:biggrin_25525:

I've said it many times before...and don't mind saying it again.

Schneider is a good place to work...well paid, good miles, home time, treated good (actually, treated great).

I spent my best years in an orange truck...and I would still be in one if they hadn't sold the specialized division to Maverick.

    johnday Thanks this.

Hey John good to hear you are coming back. I too was very impressed with how Schneider worked with me. Everyone in Edwardsville were and still are great. It's particularly nice to actually talk to someone in customer service when you have an issue. I'm still very happy to be a pumpkin.:biggrin_25525:

Thanks, but I think you got on an old post. I had to resign back the last of June. Been off the road 2 months now, and it's still killing me. I think it's obvious what I'd rather be doing, but sometimes other things take priority.
I still plan to help newer guys the best I can. Who knows, I may need a little help sooner or later.
Thanks again. Now you two be careful, rather hear from ya, than read about ya!:biggrin_25525:

    Hey JD-

I've been to Monroe MI... Home Depot?? LOL

Anyway, just saw your thread as I came in to update, and I'll reply to it fittingly. My new DBL from Carlisle called me to say, "we rented a car from Hartford for you... I'm having your truck sent to our shop this afternoon to be sure it's ok... please take time with it on Monday, while I'm there... the hotel room in Carlisle is ready for you, just show up and give them your name, etc... we can get started whenever you're ready".

Uh... wow. I am likewise floored. My Edwardsville DBL was... less than welcoming, a 15-min chat, here's your truck #, it had two bad tires, no a/c and bad kingpins, out of alignment. I've seen that this first dbl of mine was only interested in production, not my life, really. It continued to the end that way. I guess I must have had the exception to the new? rule. This guy, he's just as cool as can be. I was glad to be able to tell him I succeeded in getting my hazmat endorsement re-done/transferred in time (just had to do paperwork and take the written again), and that I was perfectly cool with going to Montreal or Toronto on NE Regional. He said, before you take a truck into NYC (been there in a car many times), we'll send you in with a driver from the Metro board. He was really glad to hear of my passport and X,T endorsements. "We'll help you with trip planning in the Northeast until you're comfortable". Whaaa? Really? "I was a driver, I can help you whenever you need it". I might say another dbl in Ed-ville said the same things, and was as cool as could be.

I feel really good to be working for Schneider right now! You said hang in there, and I have, and what do you know?? :)
