How the hell is a parking violation classified as a moving violation in the first place?

Since the charge can be classed under disregarding a traffic device/sign which is a moving violation.

Not if you run it over and throw it in a ditch........... not that I would do that on several occasions.

I didn't see any signs, nor did the guy the next night, or the next night, etc, etc until they finally replace it several weeks or months later.

I guess that does cost the tax payers........but then again so does scraping the remains of a dead driver or drivers.

It could be if there was a sign. Wouldn't they have to prove that there was one? Why is doing something that prevents your vehicle from moving classed as a moving violation by default?

    You asked. I told you.

As far as the sign being there or not. Maybe, maybe not.

If you park there and get a ticket. First thing to do is take a picture of the area to prove whether it was marked or not.

Second, ask the officer for the proof of the signage.

I'm a female driver. Yes I have slept on of ramps. I do not make a habit of this at all. Before I became a team driver, I remember once I pulled into a truck stop and another driver started yelling over CB to check me and the truck out. He even told were I was parking. After all the sexual comments I felt that 100 plus trucks there that maybe I could be in danger. So I left went down road a few miles and parked on off ramp and slept there. You know the saying " Out of sight out of mind."

I got some news for ya. The newbies aren't staying long in the profession after they experience what it's like. So stick that in your trucker bomb and swig off it

Umm, I don't know how to break this to you, but that isn't what the term "pickle park" describes.

That's pretty much every roadside area nowadays. Urban dictionary isn't quite as accurate a source as it thinks it is either.

No thry do not have to prove that there was a sign or that you read it. Ignorance of the law is not a defense. If they write you for illegal parking it is not. If they write you failure to obey traffic control devices then its the same as running running a red light.
