Just don't get put out of service and you'll be okay. Most companies will fire you if you are fairly new so you won't have to worry about the DOT :)

Recently carriers got a glimpse of their ratings and 20% are at risk of an intervention by FMCSA. The large carriers are doing better than the smaller carriers. This isn't the results I would have thought. (Info from the Sept. " The Trucker" paper.

I am wondering if it is because the bigger carriers have more trucks, and with the way the equasion is being written they get more leinancy.

That seems to be the way it works. I saw one of the points things that said that they would divide the points by the number of trucks in the fleet. Well if you have one truck you get all the points but if you have 4500 trucks then the points are divided by 4500.See the difference? I don't remember which one it was but it is from the csa web site. I especially like that they say that they are not going to rate drivers and then turn around and give all the points to THE DRIVER!
