No Codes at all and the tests showed the fuel pressure within spec., low end of spec though, also the other day when I filled it up it began to pump fuel out the vent on the drivers tank until the fuel was down.

Same thing on a detroit motor replaced the fuel filter and did an oil change. Ran really goodjustruck1 Thanks this.

open up the pipes, a 'sports' muffler makes a notable difference.
keep on top of the airfilter restriction ( not as much of an issue for me with twin filters and high pickups ( on top of cab, where all them trees try to take them out )
have the tech plug the insite in and go for a drive, check the indicated boost reading against your guage, just to be sure.
Failing that, i hear a match works well... noone will sell me a pack when they hear what i want them for ....
justruck1 Thanks this. -
never seen a impressive cummins?? ever open your eyes new guys?? and sense you must be new to trucking I invite you to look around . there are some kta 19 liter cummins out there that will make what ever you thought you knew about truck engines seem very tiny
-
I would like to find a good KTA 600 that isnt overly priced
-
Since when do KTA get used for OTR anymore?
most things can be MADE to be good, but the new crop of engines leave much to be desired. -
If i find one its going in a old truck just for fun

That guy got his heas up his arse! I got an 07 ISX500 set at 530 Hp from factory. This engine makes max torque at 1200RPMs. It starts loseing power at 1750 and by 1825 their nothing left. Sometime wont even go to 1900. Pulls like a bear at 1300 to 1700. Same load, trans, rears, and tire size it will almost run with a 550 cat. (I said almost) This is a low RPM engine. You got somthing wrong. You should be able to keep your RPMs low.
-
ok was just told by a expert in both motors why cat .vs isx people are so confused . the engines loose torque and power in different ways when climbing hills when on fuel saving droops. they do both have gobs of power . just some people hate the way the power fall from the other ... if you remove the power droops it will pull better ,but you will loose some fuel

Remove the power droops?
