    Hello, I am looking for work in Northern Illinois. I would like to be home nightly, but will take a few nights a week; I've done OTR for years, but I want to be home with the family more. I have over 18 years exp, a clean MVR and DAC. I moved from Springfield, MO to Northern IL area when I met my wife, and well, jobs are few and far in-between here. You name it, I've hauled it. I don't have my Hazmat currently, but I am willing to get it; I switched from MO to IL license this year, and didn't have the funds to get it at the time.

    Jobs in IL. are plenty for truckers, but the pay always very, as does requirements. Try looking on the web on several trucking sights, as well as [Jobs.com] [Careersingears.com] and more. You can also type in any company name you are interested in for a job and investigate what they say they have to offer a driver. You do not have to work for a company from IL., but to be home nightly, that would be your best way to go i think. I see several job openings in your area constantly, but I hate the big city area. Good luck and don't put off any oppertunity to keep looking for better.

    Dorhn Transfer in Peru is hiring. They require Hazmat but you could see if they'd hire you on with the intent to get it. You would be home daily also
