    I've had my TND 700 for a few days. I've created some groups in the address book but when I go to the address book all the saved addresses show first instead of defaulting to the group folder listing. I think it makes sense to have the address book's default view the group folder listing if you've established groups in the address book. Thank you!!

    Is the map update part of the 9/17 software release? If not, do we have a release date? My 500 is now showing a map out of date message on startup. I have a T5C model. Thanks.

    The alert at start-up didn't display anything about an expired license. Is there a way to check cor that?

    I did hook up to the TND dock tbrough the laptop last night before posting my previous message. I only received the normal updates of POI files etc- nothing regarding software or map updates.

    I have a tnd 500 that would not backup
    and was told to reset it and now it comes up with
    application error navi.exe illegal operation

    tried to restore using Tnd dock and tnd can not even says it is not connected...

    Can any one help please

    Connect your TND to your computer, turned on of course. Close the TND Dock. Go into your start up menu and click on (my) computer. You should see an external drive called Intelliroute. On it you should see a Navi folder. double click on the Navi Folder and delete the Bin and the Layout folders. Leave this window up.

    Then go to your start up menu again. Look for the control panel. Click on the control panel and look for "remove or uninstall" a program. Click on that. Scroll down till you see the Rand McNally TND Dock. Uninstall it.

    Once it is uninstalled, look again on your TND. You may have to click on the left arrrow in the upper part of the directory screen to go back one level. You should see a file called SetupTNDDock. On the T5C it will be on the save drive as the Navi and RM folders, on a T5B it will be on the drive with a Navimaps and Navivoices folder. Once you found it, double click on it and run the install. Once the install is done, then click on update and update the TND.

    Let me know if it updates okay this time and the error message goes away.

    Hey new to the forums and got my 700 today..

    Just a quick question on the maps as well.. I did the update and was rather quick.. a minute max to complete..

    I assume the map is up to date at this time as it to my knowlede did not update any map.

    The question for me is and forgive me if this has been answered in the past threads, just so much to read thought might be quicker to ask..

    Will maps be auto updated when released or do I need to D/L from somewhere..

    The replacement unit is working fine and better than ever. I had a problems with the car lighter, the red light is on, but its not charging. I think this will become a growing issue. must be a problem with the supplier or bad batch. Have anyone had issues with the cigar lighter?

    BTW mark I have the T5E. is that good?
