Yes you need to have 2 years exp. or schooling and I believe a year. If you were hired out of Thomasville you'd probably go to work at Metcalfe lumber, just to let you know your pay there if hired will not be as high as mine. I work out of the Leon county transfer station hauling trash and also pull a dump trailer hauling sludge out of the City of Tallahassee water treatment plant. Back to the original question, I applied approximately 2-3 weeks prior to getting an offer, out of the blue I received a phone call asking when I could start. It wouldn't hurt to call Roy but he is very difficult to get a hold of, don't get frustrated just try to get a hold of him, it's better to speak with him personally rather than leave a message. Roy is the only recruiter for Pritchett and is over human resources for 300 plus drivers. Hopefully this answered some of your questions, let me know if you need anything else.

B.T.W, if you're hired you're going to WORK, Pritchett is not a 7-5 job, expect to be up very early and pull very long hours, it's not for everyone but it works good for me, you must have a good mental fortitude to be successful here, but that goes to say to be successful in anything you do.

Trashtrucker1265, thank you for the quick response. I realize I won't make the same as you. That does not bother me. I would rather not have as long of hours either. I also assumed the haul would be out of metcalf. You seem to be pretty in tune with pritchett and I have a bunch of ? can you call me tomorrow and I will call you back? 2293931143. Also I will update my profile. And to clarify when I registered on here I was thinking that I "wanna be" an owner operator. No, I am not a wanna be I have 10+ years with my class A and have every endorsement inc. HAZ/MAT.

It's "cruisin" time for the wife and I, we're sitting over here in Jax waiting for our boat to leave tomorrow afternoon, five days of nothing but lounging in the sun and forgetting about the stresses of work, trash, poo, all the stuff that goes in to making a paycheck. B.T.W, my weekly earnings for the entire month of August grossed over $900, not too shabby for a local gig in Florida, right at about $30,000 for my fist 8 months, if my last 4 months of the year go as well I should be able to do around $45,000, wish I had more interesting topics to post about on here but the work I do is so cut and dry that there's not much to report. Talk to ya'll in a week, until then be safe and profitable.

Enjoy,
you worked for it !!!! -
I see you are back. How was the cruise? Still haven't heard a single word! I guess it is looking pretty evident?

It was a good cruise, actually went back to work today to save a vacation day for later. Just found out today that we got 3 new trash accounts over in west Florida so that's definately a good thing, and as far as metcalfe goes I know they're busy one of our drivers was over there today, all goes back to having the work and needing the drivers but not presently having the equipment over there to bring on new drivers. You watch you'll get a call out of the blue when you're least expecting it, that's just the way it goes.
