Couldn't have said it better myself Chalupa! Being new to the area... I had no idea who these guys were... It's interesting to note: I began the application process when they opened... and had a truck and a load before 1700.. I chalked THAT up to A: My work history is very good and they needed quality, or B: They're incredibly desperate and don't want applicants to have a chance to reconsider....
Hopefully people looking for a company will note that I specifically pointed out that "I was victimized" accounts SHOULD be taken with a grain of salt... It's why I didn't go there (not the point) and it's why I don't bother to respond to the personal attacks by the folks from Comstar posting here.
Though... I suppose it might seem like a parting shot to note that I did just decide to print out the conversations here and add them to my records.

The white flag has been raised.

Aye. I've been debating on going ahead and posting the details of my story here regardless of how defensive it might look. Call it an anecdotal story on just how clever some places can be about burning a person...

i think they are with the company in question. I think gost was right and now they are covering their butts because they cant find drivers and are fixin to go under. but thats just me.
ghostranger5of7 Thanks this. -
I can verify that the two posters ARE definitely with Comstar. Dunno about going under, but.... Managers who cause a hemorrhage of drivers get fired. Plus... many of them take it personally. Both result in a powerful motivation to be vindictive. . I guess my quitting after a week with these people kinda hit close to home.
I'd probably tell the tale if other drivers asked to hear it. lol

ghostranger has his bases covered very well. This individual is obviously not on here looking for someone to blame nor has he spouted the usual woe is me tale so often read in this forum.
Just the fact that he is as articulate as he his, lends credibility to his story.ghostranger5of7 Thanks this. -
I appreciate that Aladdin. I've been debating on whether to post info on HOW they burned me, and if so.. How to format the info. The motivation would be to warn rather than whine... I'll put it in a series of "tips" and let it lie at that. (the tips are sound advice regardless.)
1. DON'T give your '2 week notice' verbally to Comstar without having submitted an e-mailed version BEFOREHAND. Phone conversations can be forgotten, and email addresses can be blocked. D.M.'s have a motive for engineering a Termination out of a driver's resignation.
2. If your D.M. accepts your notice, then instructs you to bobtail: DON'T do so without first notifying HIS superior first. An order like that can become an "Unauthorized use of equipment" on your DAC if said D.M. "Forgets" about his instruction.
3. A valid work related task at the most practical location can become a "Company Policy Violation" on your DAC if the fact isn't documented and acknowledged.
4. Always have a witness to conversations, and ALWAYS keep a log or copy of emails and other records. It'll come in handy if you end up having to sue someone for defamation/slander.

Well I can honestly say I have worked for Comstar for a year now and love it. I love the people and the miles. I have always had my questions answered from this company and do not have any complaints.

This is the biggest load of poop I think I have ever seen posted
There hasn't been a company in any business yet that doesn't have some kind of complaints.
I like where I am at. I like the folks I work for but there are still those days that I wished I could just blow up tell every one to blankety blank them self walk off and quit.
But I don't. As in my company as in evey company there are pros and cons. Fortunately for me the pros far out way the cons where I am
