Az has been writing up improper load securement right and left also.

The last company I drove for has gotten several in Ca and Az. The freight they haul out of Ca is loaded front to back against the door, floor to ceiling. How can that not be secured. The stuff going out had load straps on it.

    Money, money, money.

Run at night whenever possible. They may have the $$$ to put the trucker dragnet out during daylight hours, but they aren't out there after sunset.

Elogs - never thought I'd say this, but they're great. Those lousy bears can't argue with 'em.

Iron Pony is right run at night whenever possible. It might take a few night time runs to get your body to adjust but its worth it.

I have never tried Elogs but from what i have heard there are far less problems, but im not in the mood to shell out any money for the equipment to do it.

This my friends is going to get totally out of hand when CSA comes online ...Right now they are just playing with us testing to see how far they can push ....Unless Nov elections gets rid of the trash in Washington just be ready for monthly or daily inspections

I don't think so. Colorado is one of the original pilot states, and I haven't seen anything like that happenning. I only get pulled in when my GVW is close to the limit, once a year for IFTA tax paperwork, and to update my profile if I happen to be in a different tractor. The inspections are getting more targeted... if your carrier doesn't pay attention to details - light bulbs burned out f'instance, then yeah, you'll be seeing the bears more often.

What i think is that this gives them more tools to use to collect reveune.I think that with all the states being broke they will do anything to collect . Its just the nature of the beast they know we will try and fight more tickets now with CSA than before to keep the points down . but this is my opinion as what I have been reading
