You may get lucky on the bus thing.
Central flew students from Buffalo before. It was actually cheaper to fly them from Buffalo to Atlanta than to bus them.
They did not tell us this till we were at the school though. It is not normal company policy.

 

That would be nice but I will be going from Cortland. There will be some lag time from when I pass the road test till the DMV actually gets me my license. I was told that it could take up to a week before I can pick it up.

It would be good though because I can get my car back home before I go.

 

ok guys here is what you are not getting on the bus thing. no 1 trucking is a job that requires long hours of driving. this is actually part of their weeding out process if you cant make it on a bus what is to make them think you will be able to drive up to 11 hrs straight at one time. they are looking for any reason to weed you out they have already got their obama bucks for giving you a shot at retraing for another job. it would be my suggestion to take the bus and prove to them you can handle long periods of travel on the road you are only doing yourself a favor by doing it. been there done that listen to us experienced drivers we are here to HELP not hurt the new guys.

That did occur to me when I started looking at the different schools to go to. I know that bus rides suck your stuck with a load of people you don't know and you may be down wind of someone who hasn't taken a shower in a couple days but how are you going to deal when your trainer hasn't showered in a day or so and you also begin tp smell pretty rip as well. Just agreeing with you on this one.

 

I will not ride a bus.
I do not care if it is a test.
Will not happen.
Those bus drivers are freakin insane. I would kill one before we got where we were going.
They cannot drive at all.
