I am not going to make crude jokes about your gf's weight. I will say in all honesty, she is fat...all over, if you want to know where. That is not meant to be mean or cruel, merely factual. You, on the other hand...now that I have seen the picture *V-8 slap to my forehead* I can see why your doc would say borderline underweight. My ex-husband is 5'7" and 215. Doc said lose 25 pounds. Problem...he's almost full-blooded Indian with the rib cage and build that go with it. He would be emaciated at 190. Dr. Abraham would probably take one look at you and say, "Next..."
There is nothing wrong with a guy wanting something soft to snuggle up to. But don't try to fool yourself or make excuses as to her build. She's beautiful and seems comfortable in her own skin. Unfortunately, trucking companies are looking at BMI as part of hiring now. It's just the fact. I will reiterate: eat more salad, get more exercise. Waiting tables is hard work, but she needs to try not to supplement her diet at work to make up the difference.
I'm trying very hard to not sound cruel. I hope you know that.scatruck and PainNdaNeck Thank this. -
I'm kind of concerned about how they will look at me. My BMI is ok at 28 but thanks to sports in school I have a 19" neck. I have no problems sleeping and do not snore most of the time.

Mike, a little research around here and you would have found this discussion in the Prime area on this forum... Certainly not with an flame inducing title as the one you have chosen.
I am confused... Did you show up for orientation and get sent home? If so, you must have slipped through the cracks in recruiting. Weight, height and BMI have been a standard question from the recruiters for quite a while...PainNdaNeck Thanks this. -
Ka5pfb: shouldn't be a problem. You're under BMI to raise flags. Neck size by itself will not cause you trouble.

Ok, now one less thing to worry about. Thanks

They're a bad trucking company...For a lot of reasons!
But they're entitled to have a BMI policy if they choose to! If you're too fat to pass, Go apply somewhere else.
Why the hell should they pay for it?
They have plenty of applicants that are within the weight range that they choose to have on their trucks!
If you're fat and want to work there and they require a sleep study...Then YOU have to decide if you want to work there bad enough to get it and pay for it!
Personally if I was looking for a job I would set my sights a lot higher than the likes of Prime!

Injun Thanks this.
