Metal has been out of business for years. Why does this thread keep coming up?

 

The name metal is gone but the owner that is still screwing the government along with the few remaining drivers is still operating. And there is alot out here that is trying to get him closed for ever. He still hasn't paid SSi on a lot of drivers that are due to them .

 

Actually Metal is still around. You just have to know which "rock" it's being hidden under. You'll get bonus points if you the other 4 company names he is operating under.

 

Katalyst is his latest name . After the boat he sunk to get the insurance money.

 

I fully understand now that this isn't the best company to go with...I however do not have any flatbed experience and a 20 mph over the speed ticket on my record and they are willing to give me a shot. All I need is my 6 months on the road with experience and I can move on after my ticket comes off of my record. So come April 2011 I may be working for another company that takes 6 months. Then come July my record will be clear and I will purchase another truck of my own.

I fully expect to find a lot of short comings but at least I can get my own medical and the experience I need to so I may move on to better things in the end.

Its amazing that after 20 years in business and having had over 10,000 drivers work for them there are only 4 whiney drivers coming to this site. It makes you wonder what the 9,996 drivers would say. Also most of the drivers working at katalyst have been working for them for 10 years or more. You have to wonder why. These guys here all sound like they were probably fired and can't get a job anywhere now.
