Arnold is allot of drop and hook, and allot of 2 lane road driving.
I am from western NY and I see them all the time around home. On every back road I take lol.
Do not know much about them as a company, so I cannot help there.
A 90 degree back is really not that hard.
It will take a good bit of practice to learn how to set up properly though. Once you have that down it is not a big deal.
Just always remember your swing area in the back. With a hopper you had better vision in the back than you will with a box.
Take your time and get out and look.
Good luck. -
Split your drives on the edge of hole, the edge closest to you, stop; turn steering wheel all the way to the right, drive forward until you are at 3 o'clock (when you stop by hole that is 12), stop; turn your wheel all the way left and drive forward until you are back at 12 o'clock, straighten wheels, stop; your trailer should be set up near perfect to drift back into the hole. Doesn't always work in the real world due to space but for passing a test should do the trick.

Or he can jack back. But teaching him how to know exactly where the center of the tandems need to be and how far out to be, depending on how far forward the tandems are, would be difficult on here.
But later it will be a good thing to learn for when space is short. -
Arnold hmmmm? Just had a friend that worked there for about 3 weeks. The trucks were junk. He was in the shop 9 or 10 days of the 3 weeks. Some stuff they would flat out refuse to fix, until he refused to run til they were fixed. I'm talking major engine stuff, not minor stuff. Arnold is owned by US Express. I guess alot of loads he picked up were already late pick ups that us express didnt get a driver to and shoved them over to arnold. I'm curious how this will work out for u. Keep us posted. Good Luck!
