what are common dirty tricks from the dispatcher/administration?

The biggest trick I have experienced usually starts out with this.....Can you do me a favor! Please run here or there and do this or that then I will get you headed back to ATL for hometime. Then in an hour find out I am heading to Denver or CALI. But it seems to pretty common so I guess you just go with the flow
