If you are looking to purchase new CB radio equipment in September 2010 or October 2010, you should check out the T/A truckstops. You can buy a Cobra 29 Classic for $80. The Cobra 29 Classic will end up costing you, after the mail in rebate, $70.
    .
In September 2010 and October 2010, you can also pickup a Wilson T2000 cb radio antenna on sale and it also has a mail in rebate. A Wilson T2000 cb radio antenna ends up costing, after the mail in rebate, $30.
    .
If you are looking for cb radio equipment, it pays for you to shop around. Be patient, cb radio equipment comes up on sale every couple months.
And no, I do not work for or own stock in T/A.

I am sorry, I thought you were joking!! A T/A is a TRUCKSTOP and they are probobly the 2nd or 3 rd largest chain on this continent...you have to drive by one of 'em about every 100 miles on most any interstate in this country!
Your post seemed to indicate that you had NO idea what a T/A was...or that you never used them in your travels...either way that was funny, considering you are driving 6 yrs!

Does that explain the comment sufficiently for you? If not don't expect me to repost it.

Being paranoid, I'm wondering if there will be a big push to move out older models of radios to make room for new ones with bluetooth features, and then a big rule change like Canada is doing?

What are the "bluetooth features" on a CB? Not being snide or sarcastic...just wondered what could be bluetooth on a CB?

Look up the cobra site, then read on it.
They came out a few years ago now. It is a hands free for your phone. Your phone links up to your CB radio, then you listen to calls using your CB and talk using a button on your CB mic.
I figured everyone had seen them by now.
Cobra started with them, and a few others are making them now as well.

I'm thinking it may go a step further, so that the CB will interact with a bluetooth headset like the phones now do, for hands free use.

I have a corbra 29 with bluetooth. The problem with it is that the volume from just listening to regular cb, to when you take a call. The voice of the caller will be a lot louder, so you have to turn the volume down and when the call is over turn it back up. Also you will not be able to hear cb traffic while on a bluetooth call. Other than that it is no biggy.

    otherhalftw Thanks this.
