If you're looking to buy a new CB radio

That what I thought....but nope....read all the stuff. I guess that will be in NEXT years model....planned obsolescence!!
Just like Apple...the add a new feature....come out with an upgrade....and already have the next upgrade planned...so they can sell you the new product!!

I don't know if it was an anniversay model but I saw a chrome 29 today in the local T/A. First time I saw that.

 

If you eat at a T/A or get fuel there, then you own stock in it. Maybe not the way you want to but you do.

 

How do that work you driving down the highway and you cb starts ringing and you grab the mic and say hello. can the caller hear my echo and roger beep. I think i'll just stick to my bluetooth headset at lease i can get out the truck with it

 

I guess the MIC is a non-standard MIC with an extra 2 pins on it...that allows you to turn on the blue-tooth....when the phone rings...flip the button, and talk.....that way the CB speaker is nice and loud like the CB.
Not sure about echo or beeps...I don't think so....Maybe somebody else will chime in.

 

Just picked up the 29 from my local Love's. Working great so far. Cost me $80 after rebate.

Anybody have any good luck buying refurbished "like new" units from places like UNIDEN-Direct, or from the truck-stops that sell Factory reconditioned units?
Do they seem just as good and so far as reliable as the New units? Any opinions...is it worth the saved $$?
