Yeah, deanna was my first and last dm there.. Well werner actually had a nice local set up.. But hell, i was there 3 weeks and never left the texas yard, unless you count going to freightliner, thermo king and a weird apu repair shop miles.. I had a classic that just wouldnt run and a columbia who's apu, front and rear seal, 4 out of 6 wheel bearing being broke and the mirrors being black taped on.. I decided to fit my own ride home.. Although im runnin into the problem of smaller companies needing 2 years exp, having your cdl 3 years solid, 6 years exp at trucking and so on.. I thought a year was good.. I was going to ats but a misunderstanding of the accident requirement made me not go.. So im actually thinking of calling the terminal manager at wvc and talking to him tom.. Guess i can bug em till they give me a job or block my calls..lol.

Sorry to hear that things didn't work out. Your right about the 1 yr not being good enough anymore unless you just go to another big, self-insured megacarrier. Have you thought about Maverick? Their running reefers now.

nah, man some people figured it out so i just came clean as a L/O lugging around a 387. Getting about 2700-3600 a week and more F-ed up loads... this one is a team load from Selah, WA to Pottsvill, PA in 3 days! I tell dispatch that its impossible and the planner gets back to me on QC saying im the only viable option in the area. I just stop saying anything now and automatically mac 11 then QC thats its going to be late because they gave me a team load..... again. lol You should ask if you can drive teams with another central L/O.

These days the only trucks in the northwest r either NW kraft dedicated or west coast regional trucks. The NW guys sometimes will just DH back to Cali for another ld bc there's nothing going south for us to pick up. We might get lucky with a fry load out of hermiston, OR but there aren't enough lds for the whole NW fleet.

It may not be busy, because the product is not there yet.
Kind of like some of the chicken plants. They will give you an appt time, that is around the same time that the chickens are set to come in. Then you have to wait while they kill, pluck, butcher and wrap them up.
Then you still cannot leave the place till the trailer is below freezing.

Actually, we have more midwest and eastern loads than loads west. So, be prepared to go everywhere. Like Mickley said, the southeast is the punishment zone, be prepared to either sit when down there, or get a crap 300 mile load with too much time to get out.

You could probably get on Kraft dedicated, and the catfish if they still have it. I detest catfish though, so don't ask me about it.

Try Watkins Shepherd out of Missoula, TWT out of Spokane, or dare I even say it, have you considered Swift?
