i seriously never knew there was so much back and forth about flatbedding. when i did it at a lumber yard it was nice, having to get up on the bed to secure things wasnt that fun but what the hell. are some of you guys afraid to break a sweat or somethin? what did you do for work before truck driving? sleep test studies?? lol

If you had told them how to load the load like a flat driver does you wouldn't have to waste your time and effort sliding those trailer wheels to get the weight correct on those trailer tandems or drive axles!!:biggrin_25523:

    drove van for 12 months.
be on decks since 7 years.
never ever go back to vans.
better money and way more importend !
better customers. not like sitting on a dock and wait the butt of till a lazy teamsters guy comes after 8 hours and pull the load from the trailer.
and then you have to pay him.
deck customers are friendly and helpfull. ( about 90% )

No. Hollywood and the high profile nature of shootouts & etc. makes people think police work is far more dangerous than it actually is. It doesn't even rank in the top ten.

I always got a kick out of that. Trucking is more dangerous, has longer hours, pays less, and is every bit as vital to the functioning of modern society---more, actually, because without trucks there wouldn't be a modern society---as police work, but they are heroes and we are bums in most people's minds.

    What does importend mean?
How do you wait a butt off?
I've never once paid a union guy to unload my trailer, if I'm not mistaken that kind of goes against what they do.

I'm not sayin, I'm just sayin.
