NASTC... any info?

Never even heard of them...

 

The carrier I used to lease to was a member.

Don't remember exactly but I believe they handled some of the company's drug testing... don't remember much but I remember the safety dept. mentioning them.

 

They are a legit organization, if that is what you are asking. Their fuel discount program is worth the price of membership alone.

They get the cost plus discounts, which can be very substantial at times. The only negative is that if you do use their fuel card in order to procure the discounts, you have to plan ahead as there aren't very many locations where it can be used. It is mostly the T/A and Petro and some independent mom and pop type places.

They have other discount programs as well, but I have never used any of them. Their tire discounts....I can usually do better if I shop around at small independent tire shops. I haven't looked at any of their other programs.

 

Thanks Eskimo, I was hoping someone would have had first hand experience with them, I'm planning on going down there to join on Friday.

Well, I had every intention of going, but then trucking happened...I've got a months worth of fuel money on my Landstar card, which gets the same discounts, so I'm hoping to make my way down there next month, I'll report back then.
