Actually the more I think about it I think you should stretch it! Go like 300" and get a giant sleeper and live in your truck. Your not a real truck driver unless you spend like 3 months out at a time. With all the money you would save not owning a house you could have some sound effects added to your CB radio.![]()

Got the rears bolted up, front pig back in, my old hubs and the axles are in. Tomorrow will measure for the driveshaft after I get brakes and some wheels on her.Attached Files:

Its nice to see truckers out there who can do things likes this themselves!! Great job! Anyone know how long it would take to rebuild a power divider?
Les2 Thanks this. -
Thanks!
Not counting the time to take out the driveshaft, maybe an hour, if that. -
REBUILD or REPLACE in an hour? I have no idea, I just figured rebuilding it was a pretty complex process.

Well I guess I should've been more specific. My SQHD PD was simple. After you get teh yoke off you just turn i tupside down, knock off the case, take out a few bolts and its in pieces.<<< short version.
In the Rockwells I have now its a little more work from what I've seen. There is a bearing on the back of the shaft that you have to take off, IIRC. If you have trouble with that it would take alittle longer. But once you get it off it won't take long from there. IF you have to change the fork it will also take a few more minutes.
I'm no expert so take all this witha grain of salt. I'm sure someone on here will know better so maybe they will explain it.
I wish I would've taken pics of the power divider when I took it out. Most people don't understand what it is. If I remember tomorrow I'll take a pic of the one I have laying around. -
To answer you replace question... If you didn't need to change the race in the housing, it would probably take you longer to get the driveshaft out then to take out the PD and put a new one in.
