    You'll fit right in there...

    Cool!

Wait till you load at a chicken processing plant!
You're gonna LOVE the smells there!

If you are for real (which I seriously doubt!) You're gonna last about 5 minutes in the transportation industry.

Best thread so far on the forum...."I don't care who ya are, that's funny right there"

Lupe have you been playing with a bucket of diesel? You need to seriously evaluate your possible career choice. :biggrin_25513:

Yeah. Driving truck subjects you to the smell of diesel 100% of the time. No matter where you are or what you are doing, no matter whether your windows are rolled up, ac on, sleeping, driving 65 across TX on I-10, the smell of diesel fumes is VERY heavy. Sometimes, I couldn't believe I was still alive.

If you are sensitive to the smell of diesel, you probably dont want to drive truck since you will smell it 100% of the time.

Might want to check out a different type of forum. Maybe a forum for Seamstresses. That will probably earn you more money and you won't be subjected to the HUGE amounts of diesel fumes and exhaust fumes you'll have to choke down as a truck driver.

Yeah, you probably don't want to drive truck then. Ever think about working in a bowling alley?

DRIVING A TRUCK is bad for your body. Sitting that long is not good for you. Eating crap at a peelot because it's the only thing available is not good for you. DONT DRIVE A TRUCK (PLEASE). You wont last a week.

BTW, did you read all the reports over the past few years about all of the truck stops that accidentally get diesel fuel in their food and water? Even the sealed containers in the cooler? Yeah, you probably dont want to drive. Thanks for checking in on the industry though. See you on the bowling alley forum.

    Good day!

well, i really do not know if Lupe is a troll or not, but there are some studies that say diesel fumes can cause cancer, just like many other things.

    here are some links:

    http://www.medindia.net/news/American-Boffins-Show-How-Diesel-Fumes-Cause-Cancer-57630-1.htm

    http://www.cancer.org/Cancer/CancerCauses/OtherCarcinogens/Pollution/diesel-exhaust

now, i'm taking into consideration that Lupe is from the chicago area, and may or may not be a born american, but even so, where one was born, in relation to one's name isn't important.

Lupe could have "up to this point and time in her life" have lived a sheltered life, or a life of having no one talk with her about various subjects, ideas, etc, etc.

we will never know one's life, living arrangements, family, background, citizenship, education, etc, etc. all we can do is explain things to the best of our abilities, rather than point an accusatory finger.

if Lupe is a troll, so be it, they come and go.

but if Lupe is genuine in her questions, comments, concerns, then we at least need to owe her what we can in our time to direct her in her way of understanding.
