Hey Bullthebeerman, are you driving for NEMF or Eastern? If you are on with NEMF I am interested in them. I have been speaking with Mitch Bookbinder and he seems to be preoccupied with other things because each time I call I have to call like 7-8 times to reach him. I was curious with your time with NEMF so far if you could answer some questions? I am looking to join NEMF as a linehaul driver from their Pittsburgh terminal. I was curious to see if the linehaul drivers are assigned to a truck or not? Mitch said yes but when I visited their terminal here it did not look to be true. The only other thing I am curious about at this time is do they allow you to fuel on the road or just at the terminals? Thanks alot if you could answer the questions.

    bullthebeerman Thanks this.

I was considering them back in 2002, and at that time, if you were to choose a sleeper truck and take the longer line hauls you were assigned a tractor. If you preferred shorter hauls and chose to run day cab it was slip seat. That was 8 years ago though so things may have changed.

If NEMF had a center near my house I would leave my current ltl job and go with them, they have the best looking equipment and they are union.

Best looking equipment:biggrin_25523: must not be the same company i'm thinkin of. I stay away from the ones I see, cause ya dont know if the are gonna fall apart o break down. And for the union, they aren't what they use to be. But their pay seems good for local work and being home daily.

Good to see you are still with the "family." It sounds like NEMF is a better match for you than the Eastern side was.

I am scheduled for orientation for NEMF on the 4th of October. I got to go to Eastern's yard in North Brunswick from what I am told. I am going to do the linehaul driver position with NEMF. What does their orientation consist of, can anyone tell me?
