Thought he could melt his way out of it...

either really stupid--or really lazy---or didnt have a clue
soooo instead of watching and recording--maybe the guy could have told him his brakes were frozenjohnday, JustSonny and Texas-Nana Thank this. -
I vote for the above quote!
I posted this video a while back just for oldnewbie! Told him exactly what happened in that video, why it happened, & what he needs to do to keep from being the idiot in the videoJustSonny and Texas-Nana Thank this. -
Sounds to me like he did the best thing. Who wants a idiot out driving a 80000 lbs battering ram around?

Not a Swift truck but WTF?

Wanna direct me to that thread so I know how to handle frozen brakes?
-
It's called a hammer...has a wooden or fiberglass handle on one end and big chunk of steel on the other...
A propane torch can also work... every driver carries one in the winter, right? -
Actually, the best idea is try not to let them freeze in the first place. I usually only set my tractor brake. When you're going through areas where your brakes can freeze, when you pull into the truck stop, you can drag your brakes a little while you're looking for your parking spot. This will usually remove enough moisture that your brakes won't freeze.
Since you will be going to Sage, be sure to ask an instructor. Because you're in Colorado, the instructor should know how to do this.
And, as Krooser said, your last resort is beating the crap out of them with a hammer if they do freeze. -
Sadly I wont be going to sage. They refused me without a co-signer wich I do not have. I have been approved for financing (according to the guy I spoke to) at a little mom and pop school called careers worldwide, but this info is good stuff, ride brake while looking for spot, set tractor brake and hope i dont roll away, carry torch and hammer.
