Honestly if I was your trainer, I would have expected you to *try* it, and i would only take over if it was clear that you were not handling it alright....and I'm thinking you probably did just fine but were just scared as hell. Been there, done that!

Where are you now? Did you finish training? When?

Whatcha gonna do when you have a 1000 mile load and the farther south you get, the heavier the snow gets? Visibility is just barely enough, roads are slick, you're in the mountains, its coming down, the plows are out but its coming down fast enough that the plows cant keep up?

Thats how i learned how to drive in snow....you cant just shut down and tell em you arent doing it, cause...whatcha gonna do the REST of the winter? hehe...

THAT HAS TO BE THE FUNNIEST STORY I EVER HEARD....I JUST STARTED MY DRIVING CAREER WITH CENTRAL REF AND JUST GOT DONE WITH TRAINING. I HAD A COUPLE OF MY CLASS MATES, HAVE TRAINERS LIKE THAT BUT THE TRAINEE'S REPORTED THEM AND THEY WERE REPREMANDED. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW SOMEONE CAN SIT IN THEIR OWN FILTH FOR DAYS ON END. I ALSO FEEL YOU SHOULD NOT BE ALOUD TO TRAIN OTHER DRIVERS IF YOUR A PIG. BUT I DO AGREE WITH ANOTHER POST REPLY.....DON'T BE A TRUCKER GO GET A JOB BEING A WRITER BECAUSE THAT WAS HILARIOUS..

SINCE READING THIS STORY I HAVE FORWARDED IT TO ALL OF MY FRIENDS, FAMILY, AND EVEN MY TRAINER (aka My Father-In-Law). ALL HAVE AGREED TO BE THE FUNNIEST STORY THEY HAVE HEARD IN A WHILE. I'M GOING TO TELL MY KIDS THIS DISFAVORY TALE OF THE GRUESOME WERNER EARNER WHO WILL..IF YOUR NOT GOOD...SLEEP IN YOUR BED AND YOU'LL WAKE UP WITH THE RASH OF DOOM!!!

BEST PART OF STORY WAS PICTURING THE OLD MAN WITH SUCH FEAR IN HIS EYES AFTER HIS LAST MIS-COUNT! I WAS DRIVING BY MYSELF THROUGH IN,IL,OH AND JUST KEPT LAUGHING TO THIS MENTAL PIC.

plan on going out with a mentor for at least a week. any previous experience with a Class A?
