If you're broke, the WIA program will pay for your training and you don't have to pay it back!

I lost my business when the economy tanked and I didn't qualify for unemployment since I was self-employed, this was my only hope unless I wanted to be contracted to a company, which I didn't want...

Another company to look into is Prime... except for about $150 for the DOT physical and license permit, the company will cover the entire cost. Training pay is at the top of the industry scale $500 per week (before the taxman visits) until you're advanced to B-seat, then $600 per week or 12-cpm for all miles over 5,000 (whichever is greater) until you finish training. Tuition costs are completely forgiven if you stay as an employee for 1 year after becoming A-seat (solo) qualified.

    Everett Thanks this.

I just spoke to a recruiter there, I found there program very interesting but decided to stick with my school(since it was free to me) and go for a pre-hire to work there upon completing the school...

It's the Workforce Improvement Act that uses Govt funds to pay for people to get school or training...Talk to you local unemployment office for details...

    Everett Thanks this.
