This was my first thought. Possibly the consignees are calling the company and complaining about you.

I hope the OP comes back to clarify, but, unless he is here as a visitor, he is not even registering any of this.

I have no comment other than the insurance carrier could have been the one complaining, as well as customers, or other drivers.

    rocknroll nik Thanks this.

A very good point ducks....that was the first thing I thought of when I saw his post. But really Western Express doesn't have the greatest reputation out there. I always tried to maintain my cool at a shipper or reciever even when I was getting screwed over
because they can always call and complain.
I remember a time when I was with Celadon...shortly after going to them ...I was having a beeyotch of a time getting into the dock...it was a difficult one for a new guy. When I finally got it in the dock and went inside they asked how much I had to drink for lunch......I laughed and said I wish that had been the case, it was one of them days and I kept overcorrecting. After hanging on the dock while they loaded I found out why they asked how much I had to drink. The Celadon driver the week before had been drunk and after 25 minutes of trying to get it in the dock had to be guided in. They called Celadon and the guy was termed as soon as he got back to the terminal in Indy.

Another good point. At my outfit there's been a couple of occasions where drivers got canned because the company was getting too many "1-800" calls about their driving (tailgating, "nearly ran me off the road", etc).

THE COMPLAINT WAS SHIPPER RELATED,IF YOU GO TO PULL A LOAD OUT OF MONTROSE CO. LUMBER MILL DONT OVERNIGHT IN THIER PARKING LOT! EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE NO POSTED WARNINGS BY THEM OR FROM THE PLANNERS ON THE LOAD ASSIGNMENT. NEXT THING I LEARNED WAS THEY HATE DRIVERS, MAYBE THE HOUSING BUBBLE OR A NEAR EMPTY STOCK YARD,LOSS OF WORK HOURS HAS THEM PROTESTING EVERYTHING-ITS BEHIND ME, I WILL FORGIVE BUT NEVER FORGET TO BITE MY LIP OFF IF NEED BE. A TERMINATION ON A DAC EVEN IF ITS NOT SAFTEY RELATED IS THE KISS OF DEATH.I SUPPOSE THAT WAS WESTERN EXPRESSES LAST STRAW OR MY D.M. JUST DIDNT CARE TO SOUND OFF IN THE COURSE OF 4.5 MONTHS OF ONTIME DELIVERY IF THERE WERE OTHER COMPLAINTS,NON OF THEM WERE COMMUNICATED TO ME,INCLUDING WHAT HAPPEND IN MONTROSE IF ANYTHING THATS MY BEST GUESS AND IN GENERAL COMPANIES HAVE DECENT OR FAIR D.M.s JUST NOT MY LUCK AT WESTERN EXPRESS IN BIRMINGHAM AL. ALL OF THIS COST ME DEARLY-1 YEAR 8 MONTHS OF NO DRIVING-OUCH!!!! :biggrin_25510:

WOW.........ALL THAT YELLING YOU JUST DID HURT MY EYES...........!!!!!

now that the screaming match is done and over with, at least NOW, we know more of the story. so, from what i am able to gather from this posting of yours, is that YOU stayed on their property over night.........???

just becasue you saw 'no signs", doesn't really clear you of wrong doings.......common courtesy would have played a very important part here. asking for permission to over night park. now, IF the company was closed when you arrived, my thinking, (and i could be wrong) is that you could have parked on the street, or found else where's to park.

hindsight is everything now i suppose, but one SHOULD call ahead of time and simply ask, "if i get there early, may i park on your property"..........??

seeking permission shows respect. you would want respect, so would anyone else........right........??

well, as you say, it's been done.

    some actions to take now.....

    1) WRITE UP a clear, to the fact explanation of what happened. try NOT to be more that (say 50 words), use punctuation, and PROPER upper/lower case letters.

    2) make copies of this letter.

    3) when filling out applications, INCLUDE this letter, because they WILL get a DAC report on you.

    4) contact DAC, and add a statement to the report. using the very same letter you already typed up.........

    5) plan on going back to school for re-training, no one will hire you now with such a long absence from driving.

personally, that complaint ain't so bad for crying out loud. i think your former employer made TOO much of it...........

and when you DO GO for any interviews, you'll admit you got stupid and all you did was you parked on private property to wait for the customer to open.........AND you LEARNED your lesson.............!!!!!!

jeez christ almighty, you didn't really do anything THAT BAD.........

its going to be a blessing in disguise. Western is one that is on the red flag list with FMCSA and if you pull up their safestat score you can see why. The usis is now called hireright, I just ordered a DAC report, its good to keep up with it ever year or so.

Its best just to contact other companies, They all know about western's unorthodox manners, its not the first time I assure you.
