I have a Tuesday morning flower delivery at AWG in Kansas City and I've not really seen anything posted about them, which I kind of take as being good noews. What do I need to know about this place? Do they have overnight parking? Are they fast or slow with getting you in a door and unloaded?

For me it's a drop and hook delivery. I don't think there is overnight but the exit has a QT and a Valro at it. QT is cleaner less lot lizards. Valro is a nasty place BUT it has a waffle house across the street. Be firm with the LL's cause they will bug the crap out of you.

here is my 2 cents on them, heck my whole dollar. They suck, they are the worst grocery warehouse in the country. I hope the place burns down.

As you may be able to tell, even though I am subtle about this, I really don't care for them.

Live unload.....they give you an appointment for o'darkhundred in the morning, which really doesn't mean a thing, they just want you sitting there and waiting in the parking area by the gatehouse, with your CB on, waiting for hours until they call you. Sleep will not happen.

You finally get your door assignment hours after your so called appointment, back in as close to the corner of the building where there is no space to sight side (well, that is my luck anyhow), go in, get a lumber for hundreds of dollars and then sit and wait for oh, lets say 6-8 more hours for them to unload you.

I may be a bit jaded, but every one of my 3 visits with them was bad. So I hope you have a better time.

Ahh I see. Thanks everyone. There wasn't much on here about them so I was ***hoping*** they were pretty decent, but they're a grocery house so I should have known better. :biggrin_25523:

Here is some (Hopefully) helpful info:

Gate opens around 8pm, you will pull in chat with guard for a min or two... Then pull into stage spot, they start calling around 23:30 or midnight. You will proceed to door assigment, back in. Meet with lumpers at door #74.. Expect to be there 5 to 6hrs minimum...

    Hope this helps.

Why do you people sit with your CB on waiting for them? I tell them I don't have one and leave, they will find you if they need the product.

But, then again, I work for a company that will tell me to return a load if not unloaded in 2 hours. We have a deal with Nestle (we sometime haul bottled water), that we only wait 2 hours to be unload. If it's not done in 2 hours from the time I called and said I arrived, I either leave or my company gets detention pay from Nestle. Nestle will they bill the warehouse. I don't care either way, I get paid by the hour.

    Mark
