    "MONEY THIS, MONEY THAT"

One of these days, you'll find out that money is not life.

Boy? I got your boy swingin...

I was brought up to be respectful to women. And having a wife of over 11 years and bringing up 2 daughters, I demand that they get treated with respect. And if some dude was to date one of my girls and he called her "nagging", he would get a date with my size 14.

Ever think that women find that insulting? Just cuz you say you are "joking", doesn't mean you ain't hurting feelings.

Get familiar with this word: Compassion

The way you are presenting your argument...it is only a one way street! No matter the verbal abuse, or nagging, whatever you want to call it...we are just supposed to take it? YES DEAR...only goes so far!

    No "compassion" here!

Respect is earned and a two way giving situation!
Try putting in another 20 years and see how far your demands get you!
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck...it's a duck! Did you ever consider that maybe your "angelic daughters" might turn out to be the nagging type? It appears that you may be spoiling them a bit...if they always get their way with you...maybe their future boyfriends might not be so willing to let them have everything they want...whatever the reason!

Ever think that other men find it insulting to be nagged constantly?
    Sometimes...the truth hurts!

Following your own advise wouldn't hurt either!

you saying that only women say "my needs aren't being met"? Too bad if you think so. I was brought up to be polite, respectful, say ma'am and sir. please and thank you. How many drivers do that? how often does ANYBODY do that? Just today, i was walking into a Dollar General. I held the door for a lady who was about 30 ft behind me. She said thank you. her boys, both in high school, walk right thru without an utter. Now if i was the mom, i'd have turned around and scolded them. The younger generation will have the hardest time living in this world with attitude like that.

i'll probably be over, but i'd say 1 in 5 are polite and professional drivers. the other 80% dont care, care less if you flash them over, care less to get off their cell phone and use a turn signal during a lane change...etc.

    it is rather pathetic.

You took the words right off my keyboard. Money isn't everything when your child is walking down the aisle and you realize you have missed every other milestone in your child's life from birth to first words to high school graduation. And you look at the person sitting beside you, who contributed half of the DNA to create that child and ask yourself where all the time went...do you even really know that person or are you two strangers passing like ships in the night...

Nope, money and stuff most definitely isn't everything. Sure, you bought that really awesome video game setup for the tenth birthday...but were you there to play the first game with your kid? I guarantee you that a kid with a less valuable system but who got to spend that kind of time with Dad (or Mom in some cases) is a happier child than the one with the top-dollar game and the parent not there to play it with.

And what about your wife? Where were you when her gramma/grampa/mom/dad died? Where were you when she was really aching to feel your touch? Where were you when she found her first grey hair? Oh, that's right...you were out somewhere chasing a dollar when you might have done better to be chasing her around your bedroom.

But that's just my thoughts on the subject.
