Chefs Call Proposed New York Salt Ban 'Absurd'

I have asked since the early 90's to have no salt cooked with my food. It amazes me when people grill out, they add salt to the meat.

I also do not add salt very often.

I also doubt they do not add salt, but at least I asked.

 

But just because YOU do not want it, does not mean that you won't let anybody else have it. That is the difference. When it is no longer up to us as human beings with a (supposedly) working brain, to make our own decisions, we are in deep trouble. . .

FWIW, I always add a bit of salt along with small amounts of quite a lot of other seasoning to my steaks before cooking. I've gotten so many folks asking what my "secret" is. . .

 

Never said it should be the way they went.

Just illustrated that some have been doing it this way for years.

It makes the food taste different and many will not like it.

 

They probably do or you'd have a huge goiter by now.

And no, I did not think you had jumped on me. I thought you were thinking that I supported them doing this.

How in the blue hell do they possibly expect anyone to cook a decent pizza without any salt?

 

I thought this was a free country. there is a law for just about every and any activity of our lives. the salt well its just another tiny little step toward total control. I have talked to several people and they say there will be a revolt against the gov. but I know there wont be because you cant get two people to do the same thing at the same time. everyone will say "well this aint to bad" and when they get used to it the gov. will add a little something else and we will say "well this aint to bad" then before you know it they will control every thing. If we are going to revolt we need to do it NOW before it is to late. if not we lose and we will have to except their control and live in bondage for the rest of our lives. I am ready to take back MY country are you?

 

I have a feeling there are more than a few citizens who are fed up enough to revolt. But probably not many that are willing to admit it in a public forum. The first amendment is dead... do you really want the FBI kicking down your door in the middle of the night?

An armed conflict and rioting is just what the socialists ordered... It would allow Dear Leader to institute martial law and go house to house confiscating guns--you know, like they did in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina.

Your power lies in the ballot box. Vote the scum out of office on November 2 and again in 2012.
