ok, I have a whirring, whisling sucking sound in the cab that starts at idle ...radio off and no CB installed yet.....best part is that that sound keeps going if I shut down the truck and remove the key while its in the middle of it ....
this sound comes and goes in about 15 second intervals at idle .... whirring up and down in pitch.

two ways to fix it (ear plugs or turn up the radio)

ok--no lizard--maybe check the heat controls--if they are air operated sometimes they will hiss and make noises --usually when it is colder out tho

I'm thinking expansion valve ... it turns out it only happens when the ac is on @ idle ... if I manually turn the fan on the noise never comes ...but when the head pressure gets up there then it squeals like a stuck pig and only inside the cab.
